The essence is art and function in an architectural context. From paintings and sculptures to designed architectural and functional art, ARTE funktional is a modern and contemporary art gallery that embraces the arts and design. The art gallery at The Factory Kelowna offers an inviting and relaxed atmosphere where you can discover works of art created by Okanagan and Canadian artists.
The owner, Carolina Sanchez de Bustamante, is also an artist in ceramic and textile art of international stature. She has exhibited her work in North and South America, Japan and Europe in juried and curated exhibitions. She has completed major commission for global corporate and private individuals and is a trusted consultant to interior designers.
Carolina has been working in architectural ceramics in her Ashpa Naira Gallery & Studio on the west side of Okanagan Lake since 1993, creating original and innovative designs in clay for the living environment. After many years of creating and dealing unique artwork, Carolina saw the opportunity to create a gallery dedicated to architectural art. And now all that artistic energy is under one roof, at The Factory Kelowna, as the gallery ARTE funktional.
